A delicious treat for your weekend morning especially when paired with Blueberry Pancakes.

Total Time: 15 minutes minutes
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest
Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil on medium heat. Then lower the heat slightly and simmer for about 5 minutes. The blueberries will burst but should still be chunky.
Note: The sauce will initially thin as the syrup heats up but will thicken again once it cools.
