Goa is a beautiful state on the west coast of India known for its beaches and laid back lifestyle. It was a Portuguese colony for close to 500 years. Goa remained a Portuguese colony until 1961.  The Portuguese influence is very evident throughout Goa, from its 17th-century churches to its cuisine. It’s cuisine however is little known – few cookbooks feature Goan cuisine and even fewer restaurants serve authentic Goan dishes. The purpose of this section is to give Goan cuisine more visibility and share recipes here for my family and for yours too. If you have any suggestions or would like to share your own recipes, I would love to hear from you!
